This month, we’ll be celebrating the harvest season with a hands-on skillshare in wild foraging and garden harvesting. We’ll explore ethical ways to gather from the forest and garden, then learn preservation techniques such as drying, freezing, and fermentation.
Bring your prune shears, garden shears, and work/garden gloves — plus any favourite harvesting tools — and get ready to roll up your sleeves.
1:00 – 4:00 PM – Skillshare: Harvesting & Foraging
Learn ethical wild foraging and garden harvesting, plus preservation methods: drying, freezing, and ferments. Bring your prune shears, garden shears, and work/garden gloves.
4:30 – 6:00 PM – Introduction Circle & Community Potluck
Meet, connect, and share a meal together.
6:00 PM – Late Evening – Bonfire & Community Skillshare Circle
An open space for music, storytelling, and sharing your skills.
After the potluck, enjoy complimentary face painting for kids and adults — playful, elegant, or nature-inspired designs by Secret Sanctuary’s in-house artist: Denika.
We’ll have tables set up for an impromptu marketplace where you can:
Sell your handcrafted goods
Display your flyers or business cards
Share your offerings with the community
Kids can enjoy the trampoline, slackline, playhouse, nature trails, and open spaces for play. (No Dogs Please)
This is a FREE community event — our way to reconnect after a busy summer.
